Paint

Painting is a quick and easy way to enhance accessibility and increase the durability of construction.

In the case of a "do-it-yourself" wooden structure, element or device, such as a seat, kitchen material, or a wheelchair trailer, they could be painted or varnished to make them more water and moisture resistant, prolong their durability, make them easier to clean and therefore also more hygienic. Cement plastered elements can also be painted, that way they are also easy to clean.

Painting in a contrasting colour can render paths and routes, ramps or other access ways and entrances more visible, and thus more usable for persons with low vision for example.
